Gabriel Rocha (DJPP) , is one of the most outstanding Djs of the Uruguay’s electronic scene, with more of 17 years in his profession.Along his career he has been resident Dj at the Uruguay’s best clubs, like SOHO Punta del Este, W. Lounge Montevideo, IN, Sonic, Central, among others, and at present, during the summer, Crobar Punta del Este.Gabriel has shared cabin with top international high-level Djs such as DUBFIRE (Deep Dish), DARREN EMERSON, SLAKER, ABOVE & BEYOND, BEHOURZ among others.He has taken part in several National Festivals (Openpark Uy), in the Creamflields Buenos Aires 2008 edition, and other different tours round the region.He started his career as record producer in 2006 , formed the duo Rocha & Lewinger,and his work has been largely accepted around the world and disseminated by many artists.

But although the main musical legacy of his country had been classical (Strauss) and mainstream pop (Falco), an underground dance scene did emerge in the early eighties. When it arrived, Peter was ready and waiting for it. “I used to listen to records on radio Luxembourg, record the music onto cassettes and drive my friends crazy with them” he recalls with a laugh. “I became a kind of informant for friends and record shops who wanted to know more about the 70’s pop, rock and disco music that I was listening to. At the time it was very hard to get access to any alternative music so I had to be really enthusiastic to keep it going.”

House music became his main inspiration.His vision and his style, both clearly reflect his origins, very percussive and tribal, and recently, with his musical productions, has been truly noticed and acclaimed by some of the biggest house names in the scene such as Tony Thomas, Tom Stephan, Grant Dell, Terry Francis, Nathan Coles, Layo, Circulation, Justin Drake from Peace Division, and also by the Uk´s main dance press like Mixmag, Jockey Slut and Dj Magazine.In the beginning of this century he builds a production studio in London, and materializes two important projects: 4Kenzo Recordings and Digital Distribution with dj Token Pace.The dj work increases in this period and he plays in important clubs such as Rex (Paris), Ultimate Base (London), Gas (London), The Cross (London), Locomia (Albufeira), Kremlin (Lisbon), Alcantara Club (Lisbon), Decadance (Belgium) among others.
