Jacob Plant feat. JLD - Basslines In [ remix pack ]

‘Basslines In’ is the second track to be released on Cr2 from their new wonder kid Jacob Plant who has already been turning heads wherever his music is being heard. At just 19 years of age Jacob Plant is fast becoming a major force on the dance scene. Already a respected and widely tipped producer talent having worked with and remixed a whole host of household names including Chase & Status, Deadmau5, Little Boots, Sidney Sampson, Chuckie and Major Lazer, and credited with BBC Radio 1 airplay, Jacob looks set to establish himself further as an artist in his own right and becoming one of the most exciting production and DJ talents in the UK dance scene.Jacob describes his sound as a fusion of inspired Electro/Pop songs through to heavier Dubstep big bassline club tracks. Gaining inspiration from a wide range of genres and artists and being accomplished in virtually every instrument known to man as well as having a distinctive, incredible vocal talent, Jacob covers all his favoured genres whilst adding his own distinctive twist. Away from the studio Jacob’s technical wizardry extends to performing live using Ableton and his Mac Book, and is also able to do an impromptu PA performance singing the vocals over his own tracks…his debut London gig saw him perform at Notting Hill Carnival on the Cr2 stage and just recently he made his Ministry of Sound debut at Cr2’s label night for the Gallery.‘Basslines In’ is an electro club track featuring female vocalist JLD, the catchy bouncy bassline immediately draws listeners in, alongside JLD’s raw rap skills the track is undeniably addictive. Enhanced by the glitchy use of synths the track progresses as the vocal becomes grittier and heavier. The bassline is certainly in on this one, an all round party track. It’s clear Jacob is integrating the charts alongside the new breed of electro producers e.g Example, Jack Beats, Rusko and indeed Tinie Tempah who offers a more urban twist to the recognised dance sound, so watch this space as 2010 is most certainly his year!
