His public oriented gigs and sympathetic appearance built up quite some goodwill and a big and faithful fan base during the past decade of Mell’s career building.At the age of 14 Mell Tierra already got his first gigs behind the decks at local events. Only two years later he became a resident DJ for several venues throughout Holland. Since then the only way was up for Mell and while the years passed he could add big venues and events to his DJ schedule like Panama, The Mansion, Westergasfabriek (Amsterdam), Club Rembrandt (Eindhoven), Lexion (Westzaan) and the infamous FFWD Dance Parade (Rotterdam).Not only his appealing DJ sets live up to the expectations of the public! Numerous tracks and remixes have left the Mell Tierra Studios successfully. With releases on respected labels like Made in NL (Spinnin’ Records), Big & Dirty Records, Sneakerz, Dos Palomas Negras and Samsobeats, Mell shows his technical studio skills time after time. Mell’s collaboration with Sebastian D and Stanford (‘Maximize’) created quite some buzz during the beginning of 2009 and reached some successful compilations like Madhouse, Dirty Dutch Aftershock, and Nope is Dope Volume 4.
