Mario Miranda was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, in 1980. He belongs to a Costa Rican-Cuban family and started in the music industry at the age of 14 playing the drums. After several years of experience on different national bands he decided to move to Barcelona and study Audio Engineering at Microfusa Institute. In 2004 Mario got involved in the musical production field. After years of experimenting samples and finishing some unreleased tracks, in 2007 he decided to contact Alex Young, Kraft's Records label owner. Alex liked Mario’s style and released his first track, Limon EP, wich included an Ahmet Sendil Remix. In that same year Mario started releasing several EP’s that included remixes from, Carlo Lio, Andrea Roma and others. People like his style and in that way he began to reach Beatport’s top ten charts with tracks such Answering Machine, Cake, & Capdan wich aare some of his Minimal best sellers. Now he is working with his own label Killing Machine Records, and counts with the support of multiple djs such as Richie Hawtin, Umek, Popof, Federico Milani, Glitter, Subfractal, NHB and many others and also he is planning an international tour for the middle of this year.
