When Pitto's Sexvibe shook European and American dancefloors earlier in 2008, reviews were nothing short of ecstatic. "Finally Holland has its own Moodymann" DJBroadcast magazine exalted. "European dance music is expanding its palette and absorbing a wider range of influences than admitted by minimal's more teleological strains. Between records like these, and Panorama appearances from artists like Hercules and Love Affair, you can feel a subtle (and welcome) shift." Pitchfork Media's Philip Sherburne stated. It was reviews like these and of course international 'hits' like feelin' & sexvibe, which got Pitto the international attention he deserves. With major support from artists like Laurent Garnier, Dubfire, Karotte and many many others both releases illustrate Pitto's superior mastery of climax-building and his rather un-Dutch soulfulness. His music might not quite reveal a childhood in Holland's rural East. But if the tiny village of early nineties' Ruurloo had a ghetto, Pitto would have been its sole inhabitant.Anyone who's ever witnessed Pitto's astonishing live-performances, knows how talented he is at translating his studio skills to a dancefloor environment. Try and stay still when Pitto's tweaking those buttons, we dare you! And the party has only just begone... with a bunch of releases and remixes lined up and his first album Green coming out on Rejected next spring, 2010 is set to be Pitto's year.
