Italy based Camel, aka andrea maver is a fresh project that recognizes no genre divisions between styles and genres of beat driven music. His DJ sets incorporate the whole spectrum from deep sounds to driving house vibes and african rhythms distilled with solid, physical grooves inspired by the hip hop that was his early sonic stomping ground in the mid- to late ‘90s. This talented guy has moved his first steps as a sound engineering in radios developing the technology of the sound research and he got involved in the production and into the search of new rhythmic. When he was young, armed with only an Akai mpc2000 sampler and a dj mixer he start producing beats. His first serious involvement with music began in the early 90s; since 1996/98 he's been a part of the Planet Groove Team in Sardinia. After a short and predictable period of hip hop and the common career as a club dj, he start producing breakbeat & detroit house since 1999 experimenting with beats and transformations. Several years and many parties later, he got resident in one of the most avant-garde club in Italy, the "Link club" and released a series of fresh tunes which blended jazz, house and funk for mantravibes as "A:Maver". His 2nd ep “Zig Zag ” was just released by Deadfish Audio and it’s three tracks of pure goodness of deep sounds and driving house vibes all combined with funky, tropical rhythms & electro vibes. His next releases include a new EP, a remix of that hard hitting Sekta & Spoek on Top Billin + remixes for Malente & Dex on Exploited, Mowgli on Deadfish, Matt Walsh on Wax:On, Yankee Zulu on Anabatic, Jamtech Foundation on Discobelle and so be sure to keep your ears peeled.
